Terms and disclosures
The rules for launching coins, claiming fees and using Repos.
Last updated 12 October 2026.
Independent
Repos is independent and is not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by GitHub or Microsoft. GitHub is a trademark of GitHub, Inc., a subsidiary of Microsoft Corporation. We use GitHub's public sign in and public data, like any other app.
Community launched coins
Coins are launched by the community, for any GitHub developer or repository. A coin launched for a developer or repository does not mean that developer endorses it, made it or has any role in it. The verified badge only means the developer signed in with GitHub and can claim the fees. A developer can decline fees at any time; from then on their share burns $REPOS.
Launching
Coins are launched by users on third-party launchpads (Pump.fun and Pons). Launching is irreversible. You pay the network and launchpad costs from your own wallet. You must not launch coins that impersonate, harass or mislead, or that claim a developer's involvement they did not give.
Fees and claims
Creator fees of coins launched here are routed to Repos and split 65% to the developer the coin was launched for (less any launcher reward), 10% to the Repos treasury and 25% to buy back and burn $REPOS. For a repository, the developer is the repository's owner.
A developer claims by proving control of the GitHub account: by signing in with GitHub, or with a one-time code in their GitHub bio. Claims are paid in the coin's own currency to a wallet the developer enters, or cashed out through an independent payment provider that runs its own account, identity checks and payout. Payouts cannot be reversed.
Risk
Memecoins are highly speculative and can lose all value. Nothing on Repos is financial advice. Check the contract address before you trade.
Privacy
We read public GitHub profile information (login, name, picture, bio, public repositories and contributions) to show developers and to check claims. When you sign in with GitHub we only receive your public profile, never your code, private repositories or password. We keep wallet addresses you enter for payouts.
